BULOVA WATCH COMPANY HAS REFERRED CLIENTS FOR ACCUTRON REPAIRS TO STAR FINDINGS

In order to correctly diagnosis the cost of the repair a fresh battery has to be installed in the watch.

Once the new battery is installed, if a hum from the watch is audible, the coil is usually good. The watch will then need a general overhaul which includes a cleaning, oiling, and all adjustments, as well as lightly polishing the case and crystal. If the crystal is cracked, the crystal will be replaced at no extra charge except if the watch is either a Spaceview, Astronaut, or Deep Sea, which is available at an additional cost.

Please note that tuning fork Accutrons were made until 1977. In the years to follow, parts also became scarce even at the Bulova Watch Company Service Center. In many instances, they advised and replaced the original tuning fork movement with a quartz movement which of course, takes away from the originality of the watch.

Star Findings can restore it back to the original Accutron with the tuning fork movement with the 'hum', not the 'tick'! Cost starts at $300.00.
